Jubilee Farm conducts Fall, Winter, Early Spring, and Late Spring CSA Sessions that provide delivered boxes of fresh organic vegetables and fruit. Each of these Sessions lasts for six weeks. Fall Session begins at the conclusion of our 20-week Summer Session, and always starts the first Wednesday in the month of November. You can sign up for any or all four of the sessions:
- Fall Session (Session I): November through December
- Winter Session (Session II): February through approx. mid-March
- Early Spring Session (Session III): approx. mid-March through April
- Late Spring Session (Session IV): approx. May through mid-June.
(Our Main Season, Summer Session starts mid-June.)
Boxes of produce are delivered each Wednesday for the six week session at “depots” — members who choose to make their homes or businesses available from noon until 7:00 for prearranged pick-up of boxes by people who live or work in their area.
Below are the questions we often are asked about Winter CSA:
| 1. |
When do we need to register? |
| |
We can process members up until the Friday prior to the starting dates of each of the four sessions. The actually dates vary from year to year. For the exact starting date of any Session please access the application for that Session on this web-site. |

| 2. |
What will it cost? |
| |
For the six-week period we plan for each week’s box to be valued at $38.00. For the six weeks the total will be $217.00, plus eight dollars to defray delivery costs. The total amount is $225. We also have a three-quarter sized box that costs $175 and contains about 25% less produce/fruit than a full share. |
| |
| 3. |
How long will members commit for? |
| |
We only ask for one six-week commitment at a time, since it seems to us that it works better for most people to have shorter periods of commitment than longer periods. |

| 4. |
What if we’re out of town on a pick-up day during
our six week session? |
| |
If you won’t be in town to get your box for one of the weeks, the best thing is to ingratiate yourself to a friend or neighbor and have them get your box (just think what favors you will get in return!). Many members call us when they can’t pick up a box and have us donate it to our local food-bank (Hopelink of Carnation). If you choose to exercise neither of these options let us know and we will give you credit on the next six-week CSA period. This option will only work for one week, but we are trying to work some flexibility into the program. |

| 5. |
What will be in the box? |
| |
The boxes will be primarily fresh fruit and vegetables. It will
either come from Jubilee Farm, or be purchased from other farmers
that are Certified Organic. |
| |
| 6. |
Why should I join? |
| |
You will get very fresh vegetables—delivered to you the day we get them instead of sitting in a warehouse, then in the back of a produce department, and then on the shelf for a considerable period of time. Some items will be from our own farm, and more so as we get into spring.
You will get your money’s worth. In fact, we guarantee it will be a better “deal” than you could get by going to the grocery store.
You will be supporting Jubilee Farm and other organic, family farms. You are going to be buying food to eat anyway. Why not support a local farm? | |
