Here is the description of the share sizes offered by Jubilee Farm:

We offer two share sizes for both the Summer Session and for our Fall/Winter/Early and Late Spring Sessions.

I. Share sizes for Summer Session.

If you are signing up for our main, twenty-week Summer Session (June through October), you will need to choose between a “Couples Share” and a “Family Share.”

  1. Couples Share: This is by far our most popular share. If you are a family of two adults and one or two children, and you typically eat a moderate amount of vegetables, this is the share you should get. It is, of course, very hard to determine exactly what any family will eat. But over the years, through extensive mid and end season surveys, we have gained a pretty good idea of how much produce a small family will consume. Each week we try to provide about that amount.

Remember that all the produce we give in our boxes is grown on our farm during the Summer Session. You are truly “buying into” local, organic, and “seasonal” produce!

That means the boxes in the early weeks will be smaller and more “green” than later boxes. Members who have carefully checked the value of our average, weekly box with the cost of the same organic produce purchased at a grocery store report our boxes to be an excellent value.
  2. Family Share: If you are a larger family, or if you eat a large amount of fresh vegetables, you should get the family share.

II. Share Sizes for Fall, Winter, Early Spring, and Late Spring Sessions.

If you are signing up for any of our “non-Summer” Sessions, you will need to choose between a “Regular Box” and a “Three-quarter Box.”

  1. Regular Box: This is the box that 90% of our members throughout the off-season choose. During the “off-season,” we use whatever of our own produce we can preserve or grow. But we also augment our weekly produce with the best, organic, most local produce and fruit we can buy. Therefore we are assured to be able to provide a balanced, weekly box that an average family can consume in a week. We are very careful to be sure that each week’s box is a good value.
  2. Three-quarters Box: A few members who don’t eat at home regularly but still want to be a part of the CSA have asked up to put together a three-quarters size box, that costs three-fourths of a regular box, and contains three-quarters of the produce. If you find a “Regular Box” is too large for you, you can “downsize” during the session.
